Washed my car today (is a 2010) and OMG! found a load of scratches!

I dont think they are too deep, but the car is blue and some of them stand out a mile.

Is there anything I can use to get rid/cover them?

    Thanks

Hi - I dont have a camera, so cant take pics.

I power washed it myself, and used a brush (at the petrol station where I washed it). I cant prove it I guess it was the brush (plus I guess if other people had used the brush, they would have noticed).

My mother had a look as I was ranting, and she said "cats". But she only saw the ones on the bonnet. She didnt see the ones on the back or on the side (a cat defo couldnt have done that).

Is there anything I can do to repair them?

if you run the tip of your finger over them does your nail catch them? The general rule of thumb is if it doesn't catch you can remove them completely with a machine polish and if it does catch you can soften them so they aren't as noticable but won't be able to remove them fully.

If their just Surface Scratch's a T-cut or similar polish would sort them out. Bit of a pain having to do it on a 2010. Have done it on my own and brought it up nicely.

I would not put T-Cut anywhere near the paintwork of a 2010 car.

OP, it sounds like you have swirl marks which were possibly caused by the presure wash and brush. My advice is take it to a professional and get their opinion of what needs to be done to repair the paintwork if it bothers you that much.

If you want to avoid this type of damage in future hand wash it using a woollen wash mitt.

You might be better off getting a professional to polish it.
But post some photos of the damage first.
