    I have being offered some work after xmas on the p35s ,maybe 2 months work ,has anybody else worked on these ? Would i need to get an accountant for this?

    Your question doesn't make sense (to me at least), do you mean C35? Are you a subcontractor?

    Sorry for that attempt at posting.I am on J.A receving a minimal amount due to my wife working.I was offered work after xmas ,on the C35s.I was just wondering about how this c35 system works.:confused:

    The revenue have a number of guides about the operation of sub contractors tax (RCT) on their website which might give you some understanding about how the system works. You will be self employed and therefore will have to register for income tax using a form TR1 which is available to download on the website. As a self employed tax payer you will be obliged to make an annual tax return. You may require the services of an accountant/tax advisor to assist you with your accounts/tax return if you are not confident enough to prepare these yourself. If you are on the JA for more than 12 months you may qualify for the Back to Enterprise Allowance which might be worth investigating at your local social welfare office.
