Throughout a recording career spanning almost two decades, DJ Stingray aka. Sherard Ingram a.k.a. Urban Tribe has consistently avoided the mainstream to create a musical world of his own. Responsible for the early techno classic “Covert Action” on Retroactive (reissued on Planet E), Ingram was joined by Carl Craig, Anthony Shakir and Kenny Dixon jr. (Moodymann) for Urban Tribe s debut album “The collapse of modern culture” on Mo Wax.
Touring as Drexciya s official assault DJ, Stingray collaborated with James Stinson for the “Other People Place ft. Mystic Tribe a.i.” project on Clone in 2002. His two recent albums (“Authorized Clinical Trials” and “Acceptable Side Effects”) and singles for Rephlex have remained true to their drexciyan descent – not through imitation but through remorseless innovation in electro aesthetics.

Sherard Ingram aka DJ Stingray jets into Dublin this Saturday to rock the first Lunar Disko / BTC party. Stingray is joined on the bill by two of Ireland's finest talents in Automatic Tasty, and Paudi Ahern...

Ingram’s collaborations with techno pioneers such as Anthony Shakir, Kenny Dixon Jr. and Carl Craig has contributed to his solid presence in the world of electronic music for close to two decades. With more than three dozen releases and appearances under the critically acclaimed names Urban Tribe, Mystic Tribe A.I., Drexcyian DJ Stingray and DJ Stingray, Sherard Ingram is an electronic artist, DJ and producer who’s footprint continues to expand across Europe and North America. He has become known for his frenetic mixing style - which is always demonstrated in his array of killer mixes online, and we cant wait to witness Stingray 313 in action in the intimate surroundings of the Kennedy's basement this Saturday..

Before Stingray we have local hero Automatic Tasty, who will be lugging his studio into Kennedy's from somewhere beneath the Wicklow mountains. This lad never fails to dissapoint with his live shows, and gets better and better every time we see him...and we expect this Saturday to be no different...

Legend has it that on a stormy night in Kerry many moons ago, three wise men appeared after traveling through the desert storm bearing three gifts. Two of the men carried a turntable, the other a mixer. A sudden bolt of light exploded and through the haze of mist appeared one man dressed in nothing but a Wu Tang T-shirt .
This freak of nature, with slick assassin like DJ skills has been Banging Techno Clubs across Kerry, Cork and Dublin ever since. Some call this man Jesus, others simply some call him "The Prez". Call him what you like, this man's got mad skillz.
