Miele S5211 Vacuum Cleaner

    Hi
I purchased a Miele S 5211 Vacuum Cleaner last Feburary. So far it has worked well ...very strong vacuum power.
However yesterday when I was removing the dust bag the housing into which the dust bag is inserted became detached from the machine. This unit is attached to the inside front section of the machine and is spring loaded. Despite many attempts I have not been able to re-attach the unit to the machine because I am not sure of the correct method of mounting the spring. Has anyone come across this problem? Can anyone suggest a way of re-attaching this unit.? The unit in question is coloured blue and is made of plastic. Many thanks

    Pensioner Pete

If you can't figure it out and you live in Dublin, there is a vacuum cleaner 'hospital' in Monkstown, roughly across the road from the RC church, they might be able to sort you out.

Thanks for the reply coylemj. I'm not located in Dublin so I will not be able to follow up your suggestion. Maybe I will get some further info from others on the board. Thanks again ....Pensioner Pete
