iPhone & Meteor :(

    For the past 3/4 weeks now my signal is terrible. I went from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4s last week and it's worse :mad:

    Problems include;

    Texts failing
    Dropping calls
    Losing network completely

    I'm a PAYG costomer so I didn't bother calling customer service, but I wrote on their Facebook page, which they never replied too so I Tweeted them, the following day they asked for my ph number which I DM'd to them yesterday. I've yet to hear back from them... :rolleyes:

    Is anyone have the same issues? 6 of my friends who have the iPhone 4 are having similar issues.

    I bought the iPhone via Adverts last week, it's locked to Meteor, how would I go about getting it unlocked if I wanna move network. The original owner bought it straight out for cash and I have a copy of the receipt. Would Meteor be obliged to unlock it?

    TIA :(

    i had the exact same issues above ,e.g when u try and send a sms
    the blue bar would get to about 99% and after a while red exclamation mark asking to try again and then it would loose signal and go searching.

    Tried restore and sim swap and finally got the phone replaced by apple yesterday and that solved the issue 100% .

    I also got alot of called failed and constant searching for signal and this is also 100% solved,It is definately the phone .

    It's not just a problem with meteor, it's affecting all carriers, I was also have the exact same issues as you were having on my 4s and I too got a replacement and since haven't encountered one single problem.

    My advice is get in to apple an organise a repair/replacement for you 4s

    Thanks guys :)

    Just been trying to set-up a repir but getting this error;
    We're sorry, the transaction cannot be completed at this time. Please try again later or contact us.

    I wonder if it's because the phone was only purchased on the 31/10 ?

    I was also going to post about this.
    I have just moved to meteor and I am finding there 3g quite flaky.

    It looks like I have a good signal. I could have 3,4,5 bars. But certain things just took a few times to work. I had to refresh a few times. Like safari, Gmail and my google feeds on the app Newsrack. It's quite frustrating.

    The thing is I was using a 3gs. It was fine last week on O2's network. I do find Meteor faster when It works.

    I have the 4s now. But yet to use it with 3g.

    the original buyer would have to request the unlock, either through his number if it was used as an upgrade or if a new number came with the iPhone 4S, then the minimum spend would have to occur on that new number before meteor will unlock it.

    I'm having the same issue really with the texts and network dropping. I got a replacement phone from Apple. It has not helped. Did a restore etc still not work. Stuck an O2 sim in and not one single problem. Texts send. Perfect reception. I'm with meteor. I know people with meteor had the same problem & it was fixed by getting replacements. It didn't work for me. raging. Dont know what to do now. Meteor is so cheap :(
