receiving texts without credit?

    Hi all,

    I apologise if this is a stupid question, but I don't live in Ireland so I'm not sure how all that works there. I've a friend that lives there though, and wondering if they would still receive a text even if they haven't any credit on their account? And/or would this also depend on the service provider? Thanks in advance for any info/help on the matter!!

    Generally receiving texts is free.

    Examples of possible complications would be (a) phone switched off (b) phone not topped up for 6 months (c) phone is roaming outside the Irish mobile phone area (d) phone inbox is full (e) phone has no signal (f) they are ignoring you.
