I would like to have a good quality cordless cattle clipper, cordless as only trimming bits around top of head/horns and exposing horn bud for disbudding

Looked at the Heineger but they 273 stg (Fanevalley stores- Old farmrite site).. and another brand Andis are upwards on that.. any less expensive but good cordless clippers out there and any good U.S. sites to source them or would i be worried about the power difference from the States?

Any advice welcome.. getting fed up of the scissors!

The andis cordless clippers are very good clippers and widely used in the states.......from what I've seen on youtube when I was looking at clippers!
In the end I went for a heiniger. They would be too big and awkward for your job.
Just stick with the scissors!! Cheap and cheerful wins everytime

You could get one of the Brazilians in Gort if you are around that direction and give him one of the old hand held yokes!

    cheers muckit,

The scissors doesn't last pissing time on cattle hair but I know what you are saying I'd buy a good few pairs of scissors for E238!

It'll be either andis E238 or heiniger cordless £283 or Heiniger Saphir £205... Smaller blue heiniger used on dogs etc but cattle and horses too... Anyone with experience of the Saphir?

I know where you're coming from, look the other way to look at is that it'I last you years once you look after it and you'I have the comfort of it.

Give Donal from Pedigree cattle a shout on 086 8916020. Tell him what you want it for and he'I talk you through what machines will suit. If you decide on something, you'I have it out in the post the next day.

    Best of luck!

I see that not worth bidding at that price when you add postage to the price :(

ah yeah too dear at that 200 stg ... Cute enough though the way he stopped the original auction current bid £50 and relisted it with min bid of £180... Buy a new one when you'd go that strong on the money

I doubt he will get any bidders at that price. You should keep checking if it doesn't sell he might relist it at the lower starting bid again.
