Well guys. Car failed nct on tie bar. I got a new one already and my problem is getting the old one off. The new one has 2 flat parts on the inner balljoint casing to get a spanner on . The old one doesn't unfortunately. Any ideas how to twist it off. It's a 90 xr3i mk 4 if that helps. Thanks.:D

If I can't get them open easily, I just cut the nut off with a small angle grinder. Be careful not to cut anything else obviously, and that the sparks don't set fire to anything that may be in the vicinity.
