    Hi guys.

    I use one hotmail account to sign into my Playsation Network account. I've now forgotten the password for this account, so I'm thinking no bother, I'll retrieve the password in the email account.
    Turns out I don't know the password to get into the email account to retrieve the password to my Playstation Network account.
    I did try to use the hotmail route of things, but unfortunately I don't use the account at all other than to sign into the Playstation Network, so I can't fill in enough details to get the account information, because the information simply does not exist.

    Thanks. =]

    Try Windows Live account recover, I've used it before where a actual person questions you and if happy will allow you reset your password. Knowing people you have contacted, emails you have received previously to the hotmail address will help.
    If you put in a fake Hotmail address signing up for the Playstation well then your best bet is to contact Sony (I'd be suprised that Sony don't require email verification, but that doesn't suprise me either after the security breach!)

    Hi Nick,
    I've already tried that method, but I only have used the previous account for gaming, so I didn't actually use it for sending or receiving emails. :(

    You should have received an email from Sony when signing up, just tell the hotmail rep that when asked, how are they not letting you access it exactly, what info are they needing?
