... I restored a Time Machine backup, but then I wanted to uninstall the account. So I did, but I picked secure erase. It was taking too long, so I Force Quit. I probably shouldn't. No major issues, but right now I'm DOWNLOADING a software restore and it'll take 4 hrs. And I've much programs to install and work to do.

Do you think this is necessary?

And any links to how to create your own DVD/USB restore disk would be much appreciated.

If you have no major issues I wouldn't be concerned You shouldn't deffo not need to do a restore thats a wee bit drastic IMHO.

Just do a regular delete of the account (if its not already gone) ...when you are done, repair permissions and verify to be on the safe side you should be set.

If you WANT to secure erase the account, when you are off to bed use disk utility to secure erase free space :)
