well i have this problem for a while now where my raider wouldnt fire if a battery went under half its charge. i put it down to the blowback but realised then it was pneumatic so it couldnt be that. so the other day i was checking if my new tracer was any good and my male tamiya connector broke so i replaced it and it still wont fire. i have checked the motor (works fine) checked the gears are moving properly (fine) but when i try fire it sounds as though the motor cant move or somethings locked. whickh is weird since everything check out ok :( any help appreciated :D

Try to use different motor... I had one problem with that already (some pieces from previous batch had problem with motors for some reason).

Than I would suggest checking connectors as well...
I presumed you`ve checked the replic with other battery did you?

The odd G&G Raider motor is poor of late alright. They may well spin on the counter when you take it out of the grip, however may not have the torque to turn over the gearbox = bad motor.

A freshly charged battery might provide enough oomph to turn it over, but once the charge reduces, a bad motor could show its ugly head.

well i tried 2 other motors and no luck ( and to make things even worse my new tamiya connector snapped off :( )

So the gearbox isn't turning over at all? Are you 100% positive the motor height screw is set to the correct height, for all motors tried? Does the trigger pull feel any different? (IE does it "click" or jump when pulled?) Have seed a few dodgy trigger switches in G&Gs, they have a tendency to stick when new.

Also, do any of the motors spin when removed from the pistol grip and when they are still connected?

yep they are set perfectly. the motors spin fine when out of the gearbox.well this is far from new :P nope its a perfect smooth pull of the trigger , you can hear the motor trying to spin but to no avail. im going to assume that the motors arnt strong enough to pull it back and get a G&P M120 motor and if that doesnt work off to M.I.A it goes (no matter how much it kills me :( )

If all your motors spin no problem, and the height of the motor is set correctly, and a properly charged decent battery is used, then there is no need to get a G&P M120 motor.
Sounds like there is no problem with electrical connections like the switch and the motor connections, could be a problem with degradation with the piston, shimming or gears.

Never try and fix a problem with a stronger solution, ie a stronger spring for an unexplainable loss in power, or a stronger motor like in this case. It should be able to turn over with a standard motor.

with a fully cherged battery its fine no problem at all. but once i play for about an hour it stops and cant move any more (and im not even trigger happy). but the battery works in every other gun i have when it doesnt work on the raider. so thats why im going to get a vnew motor (or borrow one) and see if that works. and im not too confident with taking the raider gearbox apart since i dont know how to disassemble the blowback on it >.<

Pop in to my place, I`ll show you.
It may be burnt out connectors as well, from described problem...

Sounds as if you have a carbon build up on the trigger contacts or the motor could be burnt out.

ill check the trigger contacts, it couldnt be the motor since i tried three different motors from three different guns. but when i take the motor away from the gearbox and pull the trigger it works perfect. Maciek where abouts are you now :)

Still in Crookstown for last almost 4 years

Anyway, directions are on the site, and finding Crookstown in Co. Kildare shouldn`t be a big problem, than landline is 059 862 3889.

Very rarely I`m in Rathcoole these days, there was a time when I worked there on Mondays, but that was a long time ago (:-)) I generally trying to avoid spend time in Dublin (which is problematic sometimes, and will be in future).
