Hope this is the right place to put this. My computer won't turn on. It's a Dell 540. When I press the power button, it beeps 8 times and the screen just says "power saving mode". Hope this is the right place to put this.

My computer won't turn on. It's a Dell 540. When I press the power button, it beeps 8 times and the screen just says "power saving mode". Dell's website is not providing any help whatsoever. Anyone able to offer advice on what to do? It's out of warrenty annoyingly so it looks like Dell will only talk to me if I approach their premium phoneline. Any help would be appreciated.
