    Gallipoli2.jpg

    Gallipoli1.jpg

A lovely pair of photographs of W Beach, Cape Helles, Gallipoli. Both photographs are dated 1915.

I think the subject matter of the photographs is the sunken ship. (To act as wave breakers).

    Enjoy,

Those are very interesting. I can't help thinking I have seen them before. Can I ask, did you pick them up at an Irish auction in the last few years ? Whytes or the Medal Society of Ireland - something like that ?

They aren't actually mine, they belong to an aunt who has had them for a good few years (at least 10). She bought them at auction.

They are indeed an interesting pair of photographs.
