Xperia Arc and touch tone menus

    Er, had to call Bord Gais and the ESB at lunch time and it was a frustrating experience.

    Neither service recognised touch tone selections and the ESB menu system failed to recognise even voice commands.

    I have 'audible touch tones' and 'audible selection' ticked in settings. And I can hear the beep when I press a number.

    But the phone menus aren't recognising this.

    Any advice?

    Answered my own question.

    Had to go into call settings and disable noise suppression.
