Boyfriend getting lazy?

Posted this in the wrong forum initially.

So I've been in a relationship for about 6 months now. For the first few months things were going really well, sweet texts, calls etc. from my OH. He'd also text me first thing in the morning when he got up, constantly texting me just to say I love you and so on. But now I'm the one that needs to text him, and he never says I love you anymore. I only see him about once or twice a week because we both work. He used to take breaks in work just to give me a quick call, but this has all gone down the drain the past few weeks.

I read some articles saying that as men become comfortable in a relationship, they become lazy; could this be the case? Or is it that he truly doesn't love me anymore and has become less interested in me?

There are some men who confess undying love for women after a few months, promises of marriage kids etc. Then a few months later, they start pulling away as if you're putting them under enormous pressure. I would run a mile from men like that.

Then there are men who make a great effort when they meet a lovely girl. Then he gets used to her, doesn't have to woo her as much, and feels comfortable with her. No harm in that, as long as he treats you well. My own boyfriend doesn't do things he used to do at the start, but I know by his actions he still loves me. He speaks to me with respect, he does thoughtful things for me, we chat about our (dull to everyone else!) day etc.

If you're boyfriend is like the former, leave and find someone who knows what he wants.
If he's the latter, hold onto him. Relationships aren't all sunshine and roses. Sometimes the shine goes off it after a while, but remember he might be feeling relaxed enough with you to show you his true self which in itself is a very important part of any relationship.

TBH, I'd be most worried about the type of partner who'd still be plaguing you with texts or calls "just to say they love you" after anything beyond three or four months tbh.
