Converting youtube videos to MP3 format?

Hi guys,

Can any one recommended which is the best product out there for converting youtube videos to MP3 format? So many hits on google just dont know which one to go for and which ones are safe to download?

Try Youtube Downloader, you should be able to find it on download.com or their own website here:

There's a program called Freemake which allows to convert loads of different file types. It should do what you want to do. It is free.

Atube catcher is also a very good program, and does many other sites too. ( I use it all the time)

There are so many free online converters that can do this: zamar, video2mp3, vixy, etc

There's a good piece of software called Audio Hijack Pro which records any audio from your computer and converts to mp3. So you basically type in the YouTube link and away it goes. It can be used to record anything else you play on your computer as well so is very useful. You do have to pay for it though but it comes with a package for editing audio as well so it's good for lots of playing around
