Would O'Neills replace a zip?

Toward the end of the summer I bought one of those county GAA rainjackets from O'Neills. It said no returns or refunds, presumably because they have to custom make them.

After about 2 days of wearing it, the zip caught and then broke right off when I tried to open it. Since then I've had to just use the velcro which is pissing me off a bit.

Do you think they'd send me a zip that I could put on myself? The actual teeth of the jacket are fine it's just the fastener that's broken off.

I would hope for their sake they won't dare to charge me for one..

Does it need to be a particular zip. Anywhere that does alterations (even some drycleaners) would be able to put another zip on it for not much.

As for what O'neills will do, you wont know till you ask

Yep as said above bring it to a tailors/place that does alterations etc i have had that happen with some of my gaelic gear before only cost a couple of quid to have a new zipper fitted.

Make sure you explain that it is just the zipper and not the track that needs to be replaced, i nearly had a heart attack when i explained to a woman what i needed and she said 20 quid, the feckin jacket only cost 15

Edit: I meant to say even if o'neills did do it (they dont) it would have to go back to their factory and take a week etc, whereas if you get it done yourself it would only take a few minutes. The reason they do no return or refunds is more than likely there are new jackets coming out and they are clearing their old stock

No returns or refunds doesn't apply if the item is faulty! Do contact them. 2 days is unacceptable.

It does if the fault was pointed out and discount was given. This doesn't seem to be the case here though so Pythia is right, contact them

I agree, but it was after 2 days use, the jacket was bought towards the end of the summer.

OP should have returned it ASAP.
