Central Heating Pipes - Single Loud bang when heat cuts out

I recently got a new high efficiency boiler installed with heating controls split into three zones (water, heat downstairs, heat upstairs).

The boiler works fine but when the upstairs thermostat reaches the desired temperature and the heat cuts out, there is a SINGLE loud bang that seems to come from the pipes. It's so loud it shakes the radiators upstairs. The bang is louder the longer the heat has been left on before the desired temp is reached.

This does not happen for the downstairs zone which cuts out quietly when the desired temp is reached. Same for water heating. All rads have been bled regularly as well so it's not trapped air.

Plumber seems to be at a loss. Can anyone advise ?

    Thanks !
