    I hate the overuse of the term 'giant' in reporting such finds. Yeah 11 feet is a pretty big snake, but considering modern pythons can hit 30 he's hardly a giant among his ilk.

    Thing is some people are so snake-phobic that any snake over 50 cms looks gigantic to them XD

    To some folks even a slow worm is a deadly snake, and it isn't even a snake. And it is a little thing too.
