How quickly can a package be delivered once it clears customs?

I ordered a package of Redwolf airsoft last week, the package was; tactical gloves,a GBB pistol (280fos with a .2g BB) and a 2 spare mags for the pistol.
It arrived in cork on monday and I got a call to say that it's in cork customs. (And that I got caught for VAT and I'd have to pay back the courier.)

It's been in customs since. I was emailed a form on tuesday from the courier about clearance and signed, scanned, dated and emailed it back to them last night as I was instructed.

I got no word from them today to say if they got the form but I did ring the courier to ask about it. Unfortunately, their customs department was finished for the day, but they could tell me that my package was on their systems as awaiting customs clearance.

I also received a call from a customs officer this evening asking about the package to verify the energy rating of a GBB pistol in it but when I called back (only 30 mins later) they had finished work too for the day (annoying pattern here :().

I've now been told twice to call back at 8am tomorrow.
So my question is, if I have everything sorted tomorrow morning, will the package get delivered that evening?

The address for delivery is only about 30 mins away from where the package is now.
Also, I have to travel there especially to pick up the package and I will only be there one day before I have to travel back so I really need for it to be delivered ASAP. Otherwise I will be too busy to collect it again for weeks. I also have a skirmish next week where I'd like to use the items.

    The courier is TNT.

Any and all help is appreciated :)

i would say if it is released the earlist you will get it is monday, you may be lucky but never had a parcel delivered the same day as it had been released from customs because of a call

Ok, firstly is it the courier who's talking to you about customs or did you recieve a offical letter/email from Irish customs asking for the invoice and then one stating how much you would be charged and when to expect delivery?

I order alot of different things and the process I get is that customs gets it, sends me a letter asking for the invoice, I email that to them and they reply with the VAT and a delivery date.

On some items you may need to ring them directly and confirm some details with them.
Currently they are very careful when it concerns Airsoft guns *not the accessories*

If the courier is talking to you about customs and the such then you are not talking to customs but the courier and they are doing the customs entry themselves which will be submitted to customs. That process is sticky as Customs are not involved until the courier notify them of it and if the courier don't fill it in correctly you could have all sorts of problems.

op has been asked to confirm joule output so that will be direct from customs rather than the courier acting a brokerage

Sorry, fogot to post here. I was able to get the package picked up from customs last friday on the day it cleared customs as it cleared at about noon. If I hadn't gotten it then, I would have had to wait a few weeks to collect it as I had someone collecting it on my behalf. Hopefully I'll get to test out my new equipment in a skirmish soon :D Thanks for all the help.

The answer questions about who I was talking to. I talked to them via phone and I was directly talking to; a customs officer, someone working in the couriers main office and someone working in the airport depot for the couriers. This was between finding out about the package's status and how to collect it as I wanted it sooner rather than later. Everything was grand with no problems.
