Someone said to me a few weeks ago. That they would like to see someone young 20's in power they would understand. They are fresh

So we get all these old wans running for Prime minister(doesnt deserve irish)
And yet we complain and give out and still vote for them? Why.

Why cant you just spoil your vote if there are no young one in it. I mean no one kicks up a fuss here in Ireland except when it comes to money by then its too late. You let your government walk all over you. then when there about to take €10 off you you'll flip like a lid over boiling water. i mean the damage is done. And now you want to cry. You had your chance to say something but you just let it go ahead anyway.
Im trying to use the Student protest as an example but its bit hard cause The government signed something to say they wouldnt touch fees but there breaking their promise and its not clear yet until the 6th dec. so i cant argue there but ya, my point why do you choose to vote for old folk.

Im sorry if you find it offensive on your age. but its my words my mind and my thoughts of what age i consider to be old and young. If you dont agree thats our difference.

*mods this is a touchy subject[politics] i know so i hope all is in order change delete demolish if it doesnt meet standards*

    Drivel.

Vote for someone based on their policies and/or their ability to perform their duties. Voting according to superficialities, such as 'attractiveness', personality, religion, sexuality is a vile notion and shouldn't be countenanced by a virtuous civic society.

From my peripheral experience of student politics I would add to Permabears post that they can be just as sly and hypocritical as "real" politicians, remember SU politics is a well know kindergarten for future politicians (though more so in the UK) IMO they already have the negative characteristics by this stage.
