hey guys,

looking for advice on boosting WiFi signal in house down to the shed. I have a Belkin router and need a stronger signal. Is it a case of getting a bigger aeriel for the router (and if so are they all a universal fit?)

or a case of getting a different modem?

You need a 6db or a 12dB Omni WiFi Antenna, you can get one on eBay (links below). Try to get the access point/router as close to the shed as possible and then use the antenna(s). You can use 1 but 2 on both PC and access point/router would be better. It will only work if you can unscrew the antenna, some access point/routers don't allow you to do this so you can't upgrade the signal without changing the whole thing.

I basically had issues picking up Wifi in the living room (router based in bedroom). Signal strength went from nothing to 5 bars................might be worth a look.
