polo dash lights

    hi guys i got a 97 vw polo and the bulbs in the dash have blown no i been chasing my tail in terms of trying to get bulbs always being referred to the main dealer but past experiences show that they will rob the daylights out of me. now my nct is due to be done in two weeks so i need to get the bulbs replaced or at least i think i do any ideas on what to do or where i might be able to get them!!

    They're pretty handy to replace, unscrew both screws on plastic covering, remove it and then unscrew another 3 screws holding the dash in place, remove that too. At the back you will see the bulbs, any decent petrol station should have them!

    Are you sure the bulbs are the problem? No offence, but it's often just that someone has turned the rheostat right down.:)

    believe me i made that mistake ha ha and i felt stupid for it but no generally there gone and i went to three high up car shops and all referred me too the main dealers

    Are they the bulbs in the little plastic holders that you twist out?

    If so they should be available in any decent motorfactors, forget the likes of Halfords etc, they get confused by anything beyond a headlight bulb.
