has anyone got any details of an accountant who has experience with non-residency/overseas working, in cork?

Has anyone heard of a situation where one can "declare" themselves to be moving abroad with the intent of not returning to Ireland anytime soon, so they are not taxable in ireland on income from foreign employment?
(similar to that of asking for a P50 before you leave a country?)

Can anyone give me some information on taxation of remittance from another country. I am currently working in the U.A.E. where I am not taxed on my income. I am trying to save some money while getting away from the doom and gloom :). I have sent some money home recently by remittance from my UAE bank account to my mother's Irish account and intend to continue to do this while I am out here. My question is will I be taxed by the Irish govt. on money I earn here? Is remittance the best way to transfer the funds? Really I want to know how to avoid being taxed if that is possible as Im afraid that they might try get their grubby hands on some of my hard earned!! ;) Hope somebody can shine some light on this. Thanks :D

Which one? The one on claiming unused tax credits or the one on external tax that is six pages long? My head would melt trying to read it. If anyone could please be decent enough to write down in a few short sentences of simple english I would greatly appreciate it.

If both of you send in a letter claiming non residence from the date of leaving then you are not liable to any Irish taxes.
