    Hi All,

Come january sales i'm going to replace a fine bike that was stolen recenetly. Mine was a boardman mountain bike (bought on the BTWS) and was stolen in mint condition as i had only used it a handful of times to cycle to and from training.

I used to own a Raleigh M-Trax (1500) and when the 1500 was stolen i bought the 1000. Almost out of nostalgia i was think of going back to that bike. There are a few M-Trax model (1.0/2.0/3.0).

Does anyone have an Mtrax here? Its been over a decade since i owned this bike and it seems that new makes such as Giant/Trek/Boardman are really the main stream bikes now. Raleigh doesn't seem to be much loved anymore. The Mtrax took everything i threw at it and kept going. Not like these new fangled bikes now that cost a mint and look like they'll break too easily.

My alternative bike is the Trek 3900 Disc which looks like a grand bike as well..

Yep, I've got one but haven't ridden it in a while. It's kitted out as a basic tourer, commuter.

Steel Reynolds Cro-Mo frame. STX SE (I think if I remember rightly) group set. Got it around 1994 I think. Memory is rusty these days and it's at the parents and I'm using other bikes at my rental house at the moment.

I'll see if I can take a look at it tomorrow when I am there visiting.

I used to cycle that bike over Mushera to Cork and back every weekend or so during the summer months with my load of gear for the week while studying for the Masters when in Cork and while doing racing with the Hilltown CC. Them were the days!
