SKy hd box extension cable

Anyone know where to pick up a cable to extend the length of the cable coming into the house for the Sky HD box?
Changing the layout of the sitting room and the cable that is their is about two metres too short.

You should be able to get any decent electrical/hardware retailer to cut a few metres of good quality cable for a few euro. I had a similar problem a few years ago and used all of the above without any drop in signal quality.Your problem should be solved for under a tenner.

Hi OP,

Not sure if you know this already but the cable has to be long enough to go from the dish straight to the box. Your sky wont work if you just add some cable to the one that is there already..

I think you'll find it will work perfectly..

It will work just fine provided that the F plugs are fitted correctly and a threaded coupler is used. The impedance mismatch doesn't usually cause a measurable difference.

Its an easy fix for an average Joe..

Will work perfect with any type coupler as long as its made off correctly.even a basic butt joint will work it though you're Obviously asking for trouble if you do this.

The ready-made cheapo lead and coupler set from Argos works fine for me (see post 5 above).
I have nothing to do with Argos.
