Enjoyed this episode. Glad to see Chase and Taub back. I like what Park's awkwardness has brought to the show. There should be some good banter between her and the two guys. What has House made at the end!? Is it just a way into Wilson's office?

Yeah, looks like it. They need to give Wilson a bit more to do, though.

I was quite disappointed. After 8x04 I was starting to think the writers were back on form again. Come 8x05 we're back to 'as you were' almost. Taub's storyline ran out long ago. The guy is a dope and I haven't much time for him. Bringing both babies around with him was just stupid. He's a highly paid doctor, can he not afford a childminder? The show is starting to go back downhill again. There was no need to get the two guys back. It was actually an interesting dynamic so far between House and the two girls. Now we know that the rest of the season will be Chase and the Prison Doctor phsychoalanlyising and flirting with each other and Taub and the other girl being wacky. It's time to end it!

Yeah agree with you there regarding taub but I do like Chase coming back he's a good character. And shouldn't he be annoyed that foreman got the top job, they've been around for the same amount of time. Hard to see what the season long arc for house will be, quite a forgettable episode

Chase walked though. He has father issues going all the way back to season 2 which mostly subtle built up over the seasons and resulted into him having the same distaste for the order of things as House who he has taken on as a surrogate father of sorts.

I dont think Chase would actually want Cuddy's job. Foreman on the other hand has always looked to advance his career. When he quit, he went to other hospitals as head of diagnostics rather than one of the team

forgot Chase was fired. Foreman did though get fired from that job at the start of season 4 for some sort of dangerous procedure and have to beg to get back into houses team so hardly great management material. Even Cameron got to be Head for a week in season 5. This hospital has no standards!

How great would it be if they brought back Cameron now. Throwing her into the team now would be deadly.

I do wish they had ended it on a high a couple of seasons ago.. I still watch it, but not with the same 'intensity' (for want of a better word) than I did before. It's just another programme now.

Yeah, I feel the same. Had it finished on Season 5 or so I'd have been pining after it to this day and lamenting that nothing was ever as good since. Now, I know that all series have a sell by date! The latest episode wasn't very interesting. They managed to suck whatever new intensity and interest that was there at the start of the season well out of it by now. It's kind of sad really. They had a chance to do the ultimate reboot and do something spectacular for the final season (I presume this is the final season) and they just didn't bother.

I would agree that it's gone on too long but without season 6 they wouldn't have had the madness/visions storyline which was one of the most interesting season arcs. I would have liked if they had continued that storyline into season 7. I think House will end up like the inspiration for the show Holmes, people will remember the character more than any particular storyline. I know in the earlier seasons they tried to shoe-horn nemesises for House in the form of an angry businessman and angry cop, but House has it too comfortable now without anyone calling him up on his sh!t or threatening his lifestyle.

It should have ended ages ago, yeah, clearly they've hit a few creative slumps including effectively sucking the lives out of the characters. Granted, there are still a few lol moments, but truthfully, I've never warmed to Taub since he joined the team. Some episodes are more focused on the team and the patient's in the background, others involve some team antics, though the patient can be more integrated into the story and maybe there's another type of episode - purely going through the motions. There may well be some episode nostalgia going on in that I prefer the earlier years, but I've not watched them in ages, so I don't know how they stand up.
