Lol. I wouldn't buy a litre of milk from those cowboys.

Will call up there tonight after college :) Need to fill up

A Bargain Alert after doing their best to rip off thousands of drivers? Coupled with the fact they were notoriously one of the most expensive garages in the City, cos they knew there was little competition in the locality. IIRC all the inner city Gardai and Emergency services used this to refill and that's a fair number of Govt. vehicles.

I will be avoiding this spot, personally.

I seriously hope people dont go in there and give them business. They are absolute cowboys and genuinly deserve to loose their business.

A few years ago. They used to be most expensive. New owners came in and prices came down to normal prices. Then the news earlier this week they were overcharging customer due to not keeping their equipment calibrated. Fined €14k

    do a test first.
bring in a jerry can and fill it, and make sure the pump displays the amount that the jerry can takes (give or take)

hmmmm... Me smells a lil disinformation.

All garages are stringently monitored by Weights and Measures. They can't get away with volume discrepancies. If the price is this low, the competition in the surrounding area will be going ape-s*&t and ready to do anything to discredit it. Don't be fooled. Go for the value and ignore the smokescreen.

You work for these cowboys???:confused:

They fiddled with the equipment.

    They sold short measure.

    They were warned. :(

    They continued the scam. :mad::mad:

    They were fined 14k. :D:D:D:D:D

    Competition? There was none.

Seriously mate, read the OP. The garage was CONVICTED of tampering with the NSAI seals and mismeasuring.

1.399? Nearly 6c cheaper than Maxol in Harold's Cross and cheaper than what Topaz are selling at using their fuel card (1.4474 - granted last Friday's price)

    I smell something fishy here....

Ah passed by there yesterday. Was wondering why there were so many cars there - at least 30 cars waiting - especially after what these cowboys were widely reported to have done. Interesting to see people flock back to them also - what pathetic morals we have in this country.

I said it in motors thread about this shower and I'll say it here...not now...not ever.....never going back to them again...ever...don't care what their price is.....totally cynical move IMO....

Just filled up tonight..not many cars there. Not a huge saving on a full tank but a saving none the less.

deisel is also reduced to 138.8

No I don't have any association with them.

However I stand corrected. The article is pretty damning.

The Burmah station in the village beside Superquinn are 1.48 for petrol and 1.41 for diesel.

I'm sure we all know about www.pumps.ie ;)

One thing I would say is that the traffic-light system for cheap, medium and expensive stations has been totally wrecked by OneOil's sill price decrease. Everything else in Dublin is Red for Rip Off on pumps!
