This is a solid and determined Carrig team who will give anyone a game. I expect heavy underfoot conditions at the weekend, which will suit Carrig I think as they 'hunt in packs'. Alot will depend on whether they have stopped their session or are taking it seriously, we will have to wait another few days to find that one out.

Crusheen are a serious club team. There is no doubt about that.

They won their first county last year after coming close for a few years before that. A lot of people (myself included) would have expected them to fade a bit this year and not be able to reach the same heights again, as has happened Tulla, Clonlara and Cratloe before them.

But, if anything they showed a lot of improvement this year. It was as if winning the county in 2010 has taken the pressure off them and they are hurling more freely now.

They have 6 serious backs. Particularly their half back line. No club team, no matter who they are will get much change from them. It was in their forwards that they really showed improvement this year, hitting bigger scores. They don't have any one forward that they massively rely on, with all 6 forwards and their midfielders capable of chipping in with a few scores on any day.

I think they feel (or at least IMO, they should feel) that they left it behind them last year against Kilmallock. They were well in control that day and 2 poor goals let Kilmallock back into it.

I only saw highlights of the Cork County Final on TnaG. Carrig are a big physical team but I don't think they have as many hurlers as crusheen.

I presume Niall Mc plays at 11 for Carrig. If so, the clash of the day, and one that might ultimately decide the match is Niall Mc Vs Cian Dillion

I'd fancy Crusheen. Don't think there is much between the two teams but generally clubs who come from out of nowhere to win the county like Carrig have rarely seem to go too far in Munster

Carrigtwohill have played challenge games against Oulart the Ballagh from Wexford, UCC and Coolderry from Offaly and they have lost all three games.

They celebrated sunday night/Monday and that was it back to training on the wednesday night. this is a group of focused young athletes. they are taking it seriously it would be a total lack of respect for all the other clubs (that they defeated on the way) in the county if they dont take it seriously. they are delighted to represent Cork as are all the supporters!

Dont doubt Carrigtwohill they are out to win it!

The will to win runs deeper than most will understand.

Good win for Crusheen today 0-19 v 1-10.
Carrig were ahead at ht but Crusheen pulled away in the second half.
