I was wondering if I would be better off replacing the battery in my 3GS before I sell it or just selling it as is with a note that the battery is not great?

Just sell it as-is. These transactions are sold-as-seen, buyer-beware.

+1 you won't get value for your money if you start replacing parts, sell 'as is'.

Sell it with a note that the battery is not great, that's about as fair as you can be.
Perhaps you could also price it accordingly.

well, I disagree with the above posters, a new battery cost like €4 and you could use it as a selling point.

I have only seen batteries for €20+ and supply and fit for €35+
    Where did you see them?
