    Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone had ever made up christmas food baskets for families/people in need and brought it to them.

I've read some wonderful stories of people doing this in the states and the uk but never in ireland. Its something I would love to do to give back and would appreciate any advice/guidance!

    Thanks,

    Paula

Vincent de Paul organise a hamper appeal every year around Christmas. In fact one of my colleagues at work has just placed a box in our canteen so we can contribute. She will bring all the stuff to the VdeP and they will pass it on to families in need.

I would like to second SvP. They do really great work and I really think they should be supported.

A charity puts shopping trollies in the supermarkets for Christmas for shoppers to drop in foodstuffs, canned and dried goods. Can't remember which charity but possible VdP.

I will echo what had been said above. The SVP is the place to look to help with that sort of thing, they do hampers every year and it is really good work :)
