Does anybody know how it's done? I'm thinking of servicing the car myself this weekend and also changing the plugs?

Any tips on both of the above

    Peter

Days before you plan on changing the glow plugs keep giving them a good soaking in plus gas or wd40 , dont do it when its too hot , but giving them a good soak when the engine is warm helps ease them out

Test them first... if they don't need changing the leave them alone.

Well lads, I changed the Glow plugs.
The write up done the trick, all though it was a very straigth forward job.
Now she starts first time everytime. The old plugs were black and I just changed them all whilst I was at it. Wont have to worry about that for a long time. Thanks lads for all your help. I didnt replace the gasket tho and now I have to as there is a slight whistling... any tips?

Sorry I never stated, she was very hard started. It talk alot of revolution to get her to fire. Maybe three or four preheats and then turning over for 20 seconds.
    It's fine now. Thank god.
