No, it got 49 on metacritic. Its supposed to be very buggy

Managed an hour last night. Crashed about 5 times in that hour. When it was working it seems very stripped down compared to previous stronghold games.

Seems to be the general trend with anything after Crusader

Crusader was deffo the best, even have the expansionpack for it which was a great add on!

I was looking forward to this and was just gonna order it when I read on the forums it was a buggy mess so I didn't bother,pity really.

Ive since my first post played it.... its like SH1. however ya full of small bugs, they are meant to be fixing them tho,

also the biggest problem i have with it is the loading time, for some resion even on a good pc just takes ages for no resion and then randomly crashes...


hopefully they sort it, as on paper is great... just on the pc its not so good

Just curious has anyone played this since the latest patch was released? There was a bit of a spike in the review on amazon (all posted within the last week) and i was wondering if it's now any better?

I played it for an hour, quit it, and turned Crusader back on.

It isn't as buggy as people make it out to be, it's just bad. It's simply Stronghold 2 with more horrible features added to it. Unless they redo the entire game (never going to happen) it will remain unplayable for a lot of people.

ya there updates "helped" but still not enough, i got 1/2 way though the game ( i say 1/2 way but im not sure) and just gave up....

I'm sorry to say that I've never really given a Stronghold game a good chance. Is the Stronghold Collection worth picking up for 20 Euro off Steam?

the crusader game + add on was great - if both of them are in it its worth 20e and just play them - also stronghold 2 was not 1/2 bad, also worth a shot!

depends on ur pc tbh , i found it ran ok over all, however i got board trying to get by one of the mission that was in the dark a while back and never went back to it!

still no skirmish mode?that's what I wanted to buy it for skirmish mode

Gave Stronghold 3 a bash. The game takes way too long to get going, everything costs way too much to build and it just isn't enjoyable at all.
