Not sure if I'll get Jobseeker's

Hello all, I have been living on an island with my boyfriend and his parents for the last couple of months, and last week applied for Jobseeker's allowance. I have to bring in some documentation including my boyfriend's latest pay slip (he is on a Fas scheme) and this worries me a little, as he is not supporting me in any way and I can't see why they would need this information. Now I'm worried that this could affect my chances of getting Jobseeker's. Can anyone advise me how this will pan out? I'm completely new to this sort of thing.

If you're living with your boyfriend you will be treated as a married couple for social welfare purposes. Actually, depending on the scheme, it may be that he should have been claiming for you as an adult dependent on his existing payment already.

It will depend on what scheme he is on as to how it will affect your payment. Is he in receipt of a FAS training allowance, or is he on a CE scheme? How much does he receive?

In any event, if this scheme is his only income you will still receive some Jobseekers payment, even if it is reduced slightly because of your partner's income.

If they know you are living with your boyfriend, then he is sharing the rent and bills I presume so that is support, I agree with the last post a reduced rate is quite likely.
