Dilema- interview with the same company.

    Hi,

    My mate has got offered a job in Dublin but not the ideal job that he wants. However previously he applied to the same company but in another country but for his preferred role and has now being given an interview. He has not signed the contract yet. It is not an issue which country he works in.

    Has anyone been in the same position? He really needs help on this. Confirmed permanent position in a job you are not too keen on versus an interview for the job you really want.

    Can the company see that you have been offered the job in the other country?

    If all the HR staff use the same HR system they might be able to see both applications.

    damn thats what he is worried about. It would look really bad wouldnt it? Maybe he was honest with them that he was offered the job in Dublin but really prefers the jobs abroad then maybe something could be done? It's a tricky situation and one he's not sure how to approach!
