Looking at 05/06 focus' (ignore sig) and most have a "phone" button beside the radio.

Did all cars get this button and some have it non functioning? Or was it standard? Or did the majority get the option of it?

    Cheers

Generally if it has the button its Bluetooth. Also, air con and alloys are usually another indication of the spec.

As in it's always there but the function changes if they went for the Bluetooth spec?

couldn't tell you, any focus of that age I've been in (none had factory fitted bluetooth) it literally muted the sound from the head unit, that's all

If it has a voice button on the steering wheel controls it has bluetooth factory fitted.

They are not very common though!

Cool well that makes sense so.

Is it possible to put it in? I have a sony stereo in my polo at the minute which isn't easily put into a focus but would live built in bluetooth!!

Bluetooth was an optional extra but it came as standard on the Connection models which ran from 2006 to early 2008.

You can do anything you want if you dont mind paying for it :D

Seriously it would be expensive to install as after market you would get a parrot fitted cheap enough and every bit as good if not better.

bazz26 - are you certain bluetooth is standard on connection model Focuses? I have two LX Connections and one came with a Parrot kit and the other with Motorola. I think maybe bluetooth is on the Zetec model only but am willing to be corrected...

Maybe it is just on the Zetec Connection model then.

I have a 07 focus lx connection and it does indeed have the bluetooth installed. If its possible to have it installed inexpensively after market, I would, as its a great bit of kit.

I would not be too hung up on the must have bluetooth thing, an inexpensive aftermarket kit can easily be installed these days. And it can be removed again when you sell the car on.

It's a really great piece of kit, my last 3 new cars have all had it.

I'd suggest a factory installed version is better than any aftermarket one.
