Insurance on another car when fully comp?

    Hey everyone

I have a Mazda Bongo converted campervan, it is in my name and I have fully comp insurance on it.

My mother has a Nissan Micra 2009. She has had 3 claims in last 3 years so she has found it really difficult to get insurance. So she took out insurance with a company who specifically cover people in her situation but they say she is the only person who can drive the car.

Is there some rule that if I am fully comp on my own vehicle and she is fully comp on her vehicle that I can drive her car without being named on her policy. Does anyone know anything about this?

If you have a third party extension on your policy. But you won't as its a camper van and camper vans don't go into cars too well.
