Wiper/Fuse issue

    Hi,

Strange one here. The rear wiper on my 07 Kia Sorento seems to be affected by the cold weather. Last winter and since this week when I start the engine the rear wiper comes on and generally stays on for a while. The wiper is turned off at the wiper control stick but keeps going. Then if it hasn't stopped when I stop the engine it will keep going even after the keys are out of the ignition. As I type this it is still going. Can go for a few hours at times.

I pulled the fuse out that controls the rear wiper this morning when I got to work. When I got in to go home the climate control/Air con and the heated seats no longer worked but the wiper didn't come on. When I got home I put the fuse back in started the engine again and the wiper kicked in but now the climate control/air con and heated seats worked.

I pulled the fuse out again, started the engine again and climate control/air con worked still. I left the car for a while but had to go out again about an hour later. At this point when I started the engine the headlights didn't work. I put the fuse back in and started the engine and the lights worked again.....

Each time I removed the same fuse and confirmed with the user manual that it was the corrrect one. I also tried to activate the rear wiper when the fuse was out to make sure I took the correct one out and it wouldn't work, as expected.

Any ideas on this? I can't understand how different systems were affected each time.

    Thanks.

    Update:

When I went to bed last night the wiper was still going but when I got up this morning it had stopped. When I started the engine the wiper kicked in again and stayed on the whole way to work, approx 50 min drive.
