    Hi,

Recently bought an A3 - 2003. The radio in the car is not the original. It is clearly a good radio but the radio reception is awful.

Was wondering if any A3 owners (or anyone) had experienced this and would be able to help. I know the reason is probably just that the radio is not properly connected to the arial. :)

You need an aerial amp, the original audi headunit powers the aerial to provide good reception. The new headunit won't have this feature so a seperate aerial amp is needed, not expensive and easy to fit.
