How do sony decide which games they will put for sale on the psn store?

I was surprised that FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3 were up there and I hoped that maybe uncharted 3 would be next, but that didn't happen.

It's complicated by retailers. There's an 'arrangement' (how formal / informal it is I don't know) that digital retailing won't interfere with the physical stores. Which is what leads to the absurd situation where games are sold for the RRP of 59.99 - 69.99 for a download, where you can get the actual disc for what could be half of that price.

I know it's more pronounced on Xbox Live - games don't show up there for some time after retail. PSN seems a little different - Infamous 2 was up there pretty quickly (at hugely inflated price). And if Battlefield and FIFA are up there, then there's clearly some agreement EA have as well as first party releases.

Who knows, really. Digital content is a cluster**** at the moment. In an ideal world, all games will eventually be online for a far more reasonable price. Until then, we're stuck in this bizarre transition period. Honestly: stick with your Blu-Rays.

You wont find any bargains on the PSN when it comes to Battlefield 3 etc.

It's too pricey for BC3, got it online in Game stop for €45 including delivery, PSN over €60.
