    Balancing the Budget is exactly what austerity is about. We're already massively committed to the path towards a balanced Budget.

    Worked for us with the 80s recession when we had to tackle a budget deficit.

    This time it's different in that there's a financial aspect to the crisis meaning it's tougher to get the domestic economy going again, but what is absolutely clear is that we need to rebalance our Budget if we're going to get ourselves out of this mess!
