The U.S. government yesterday denied ever having had contact with alien lifeforms

The White House insisted there was no evidence extra-terrestrials have visited Earth or made any manner of contact.

The denial is an official response to two petitions asking for confirmation that alien encounters have taken place.

‘Thank you for signing the petition asking the Obama administration to acknowledge an extra-terrestrial presence here on Earth,’ said Phil Larson, who works on space policy and communications at the White House.

‘The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extra-terrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race.’

Mr Larson, writing on the White House website, added that this statement did not rule out the possibility of alien life elsewhere in the universe.
(Searching: The government is using telescopes set up by the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute to look for life beyond Earth)

‘Many scientists and mathematicians have looked with a statistical mindset at the question of whether life likely exists beyond Earth and have come to the conclusion that the odds are pretty high that somewhere among the trillions and trillions of stars in the universe there is a planet other than ours that is home to life,’ he said.

But he added that the vast distances between planets will make the chances of contact with them ‘extremely small’.
'No evidence': The White House denial rules out the authenticity of previous sightings, such as this 'spacecraft' seen over New Mexico in 1963

Larson said the vast distances between planets will make the chances of contact with them 'extremely small'.

The petition asking about alien life form were sent to the 'We the People' feature on the White House website.

Said in Clinton's trademark Arkansas drawl.... "I did not have contact with that alien lifeform."

Yeah, people like to claim that.

I highly doubt they have to be honest.

Forcing a denial is a boring way to get a non-story into the news.

Nah the way I heard it Reagan believed that he was once had contact with aliens and when he became the big cheese wanted all the info about UFOs/aliens sent to him. He was a bit disappointed with what he read.

There is a reason security clearance exists. They aren't going to leak info to the public domain, even if it might be true. I can't say I don't agree with them. This stuff is probably too much for most to handle.

What? That is another lifeform outside my house?
