Bulk buying golf equipment

    Guys
It just got me thinking after seeing K.P.H. setting up the Boards.ie society map. Could we bulk buy golf equipment for ourselves??
Not sure how it would work exactly but the very general idea would be one person gets the order from all of us and buys in a shop or online and gets the discount.
Looking on ebay and you can get 10 boxes of pro v's for €37.08 delivered.
Who ever gets them can bring them along to the next outing and distribute individual orders. Now it might be easy to do with balls (no custom options and all cost the same for everyone)
With other golf equipment it might be alittle harder to do. One idea might be to just pass on the % discount (one guy orders product "A" list price €100 and the other guy orders product "B" list price €200. Retailer gives 10%. Product A cost €90. Product B cost €180.
Between us all we could get prices in our local shops or online and then discuss here when we have done our homework.
I'm sure if we had one order per month it wouldn't be too hard to do.
Just submit too your local shops and see what they say.
Only thing i can think of that might put people off is how the money is handled and the transparency?
Any thoughts on this? good idea/bad idea?

Ah sure I know Conno, didn't doubt it for a sec. That why I genuinely lodged a few hundred into the account. You know so you won't be stuck like.

that was a separate procurement process and is unrelated to this new venture
to date i have a 100% satisfaction rating with all existing clients

Redqaw - you should take note that there are a lot of cowboys out there selling stuff online. if it smells like a rat, or walks like a duck etc etc. just saying, beware
