Hi, Im 3 months pregnant and over the next few months have alot of occassios wedings/birthdays etc, I was wondering about what to drink while out ? I have tried non alcoholic becks and Erdinger but they taste awful, have tried minerals but they are too sugary and you can only drink so many of them.
I would like to be able to drink something nice and enjoyable and didnt make me feel totally out of the loop, I was thinking of non -alcoholic cocktails or any other non alcoholic beers as the 2 above are the only ones that most pubs seem to shop.

Just wondering if ye have any advice as to socialising while pregnant?

soda (or sparkling) water and lime. It always feels like a "proper drink" :-)

Mostly I just stuck with still water & lime. But one one occasion where they had a cocktail bar I asked could they do up some non-alcoholic cocktails, and they did no problem I did get some strange looks though. I'm so looking forward to a night out with a few drinks I haven't drank since Dec 2009, between pregnancies & breastfeeding!

Yeah, you can stay on soda water for the night alright, where as after a 7up and a coke, I'm done. Cant do the soda water and lime, gives me indigestion, but soda water cures it anyway!

The only nice non-alc beer is Paulaner. It's the only one that doesn't taste like glucose water.

I tended to just stick to water in pubs though.

Little hard to find sometimes but the Cobra non-alcoholic beer is awesome!
You might find no alcoholic cocktails to be quite sugary as well, what about sparkling water? or do you go to the bathroom enough as it is :D:D

I drink cranberry juice if there are no nice non-alco beers, or a soda and lime. Not really gone on the other juices - orange can be meh when its not fresh, apple tastes like pish, and as for pineapple....
Yup. Cranberry with heaps of ice or a soda+lime. At home I love the proper old fashioned ginger beers that supermarkets sell but ginger ale in a pub is only in a tiny bottle and is a bit bland.

I drank sparkling water and if I was feeling particularly wild I'd have a dash of lime. We were on holidays in Italy near the austrian border last year so non-alcoholic beers were quite common. Alcohol free krombacher was gorgeous.
