MW3 not working online.....!!!

    could anyone shed a little light on it?very pissed off gamer here it just refuses to connect to the online server,am i the onlyh one having this problem?

    Em, First of all, Call of duty has it's own section.

    Also might help to list what console, Xbox or PS3 or if you are playing it on pc.

    I'm using it fine on Xbox 360. No problems yet, Except Elite isn't working well at the moment.

    cool i didnt no it had its own section,its ps3 platform,i keep getting: the call of duty server is not available at this time please try agin later or visit call of duty,com/mw3/status and the leads me to a dead end

    i too have been getting that same error message all day.
    cant get through to anyone cause of the problems with elite.
    have done everything i have seen online to fix it ie. opening ports etc but its still not working.
    im also on ps3.

    anyone got any answers?

    I have bogband that is pretty ****ty and had a fair few games today guys, Elite now I just get an error 500 internal server crap come up but gaming has been going great guns

    Up until 11.30 last night I was still unable to get online. While I was searching around I came across people talking about what NAT TYPE they were on. So I checked my PS3 internet settings and I'm on NAT TYPE 3, so my question is to the people in the know, should I be trying to switch onto NAT TYPE 1 or 2? also my ISP is eircom and normally it runs fine.

    Yes you need to open some ports on your router - NAT type 3 means restrictive connectivity. You really need 1 or 2 to play online.

    Each router is different but here are the ports you need to open:

    My iPhone channels nat type 3 and I've been getting games, you do have to wait its not as fast as blops for throwing you on a team but give it time the same went for MW2 I had to wait till ping was 150 before I got on a team

    seems the problem is with netgear routers and possibly orange broadband. i have a netgear router but im not with orange but this worked for me

    i only changed the multiplexing method to LLC based and left the dsl mode as auto and now im up and running - finally!!!
