Where to buy an empty hamper?

I'm looking to pick up a hamper or two but struggling to find one big enough - something along the lines of this or this would be ideal. I want to get one with a lid on it and it needs to be bigger than those two - want to put books/dvds/wine etc in it.

Any ideas as to where I could pick one of these up online or possibly in Dublin? Thanks!

I did some Googling and turned up these:

    http://www.frenchflair.ie/images/Baskets.pdf

    http://www.omahonys.ie/catalog/hampers-c-1910.html

Neither are based in Dublin but both sell online. Also I found a thread on a message board from last year and a few people said they found them in Heatons.

    Good luck :)

Does anyone know where you get the 'straw' to put in the end of hampers like these?

I buy large bags of straw from pet supply places for my hens and a large bag costs around €5.

I've gotten hampers that had shredded newspaper in the bottom of the hamper then tissue paper over it.

I buy the cheap tesco a4 paper and shred it. Huge waste of paper but much cheaper than buying it from the shops:)

Hey guys, picked up one of these in the end and it's pretty massive too I must say (have them in Donnybrook Fair):

Trying to think of a way to present it (as I can't really just hand it as it looks in that picture!) - how ridiculous would it be to wrap the entire thing in christmas wrapping paper? :D

You can buy rolls of the clear cellophane in florists if you want to fill the hamper and have the lid opened upright and then wrap in cellophane but that's more expensive than wrapping the hamper in christmas paper if you want to give it wrapped though I'd be happy to receive it without wrapping.

Yeah wrapping it might be a bit excessive! I want to keep the lid closed, so that the contents are kept hidden, so that's why I don't want to hand it just as it is. Maybe I could just get some ribbon and wrap it around it each side?

You could buy some bamboo sticks from a hardware to make it look like a teepee, disguise the shape sort of thing.

Then wrap it with some rolls of Christmas paper, the closer we get to Christmas the cheaper the wrapping paper gets.
