    Hey,
Does anyone know if a doctor will give a sick note for the flu. I have a MCQ tomorrow and its worth 10%. I think I have a stomach flu?

I was told that your not supposed to go to the doctors with a flu incase you infect people. So what should I do? Will he give one if I call up or shoudl I go over in the morning.

Im just asking 'cos if not I will have to try and prepare myself to go in tomorrow, see if I can stop myself from getting sick!

Maybe ring first thing in the morning and see? Doctors' surgeries usually have things in place for people coming in who might have contagious infections and stuff. Or they could do a house call.

Definitely ring your doctor and ask how you could go about getting a note without spreading the plague. There is a dose of gastroenteritis (bad diarrhoea as far as I know but there may be vomiting too) going around at the moment so I'm sure the college is seeing quite a few notes for it at the moment. If you have the standard flu, you could have picked it up too (or vice versa, being sick you are likely to pick up other things!) Also, email your lecturer about it, just to let them know what the story is (and maybe ask if you could catch up some how) and explain that you are trying to get a note to cover it.
