Girth to go...

I'm hitting the dancefloor in a two Saturday's time. This is an "event" in my calendar as I only get to go out once a month these days. I had a good look at myself in the mirror tonight and I am definitely carry an extra inch or two around the waist. This is problematic as my look is normally a tight-fitting (not too tight mind) shirt or t-shirt and slim-fit jeans and runners. (I wear a jacket/blazer at the beginning of the night, but this gets shed within an hour).

Is it possible to press-up/sit-up myself into looking fit in 10 days? I'm going to try anyway. Any other tips would also be welcome. Don't suggest loose-fitting clothes, because they do not look good on me.

    Thank you all in advance.

Magic underwear? Or sucky in things, I'm not sure of the correct name :pac: I got a good one in my Debenhams, kinda flattens out the bumps for tighter clothes. Can get them in Dunnes or Penneys too.

But if you're not going to feel confident on the night, don't wear a tight dress. I can't say without seeing you but nothing worse than a girl wearing the wrong shape dress. Have a look around the shops, keep an open mind and try on a few new things you wouldn't have before. No harm in just trying them on :)

I hear you on the wrong-shaped dress, and as I said, I don't go for anything too tight.

I stopped wearing underwear on nights out a few years ago. Once you develop the habit, it's impossible to go back. Thanks all the same!

Day 3: Went for a 5-mile run this evening and did sit-ups and press-ups afterwards... Not sure if I'm shedding any pounds but I feel a lot better and my tummy feels tighter.

    Bring it on...
