Shocked Philly Hughes isn't in the nominations for POTY but I think Casso will bring it home so not to worry.

We had the best defense in the league and have no defenders in the team of the year? McGuinness was superb all year. They all were actually.

Happy to see 5 City players there, 2 of whom have signed contracts for the next 2 years in Duggan and Morrisey.

As for LOI Div 1 player, I would like to think its going to be Cummins, but who knows. We all think our own player is best.

This is it, we're all going to think Casso is a shoein, you will all think Cummins. Can't imagine the Mons fans are as sweet on Brennan's chances though, pretty confident it is between Casso and Cummins but I'd be significantly more confident Casso has this.

Was Quigley that good for Dundalk this year? That's not a smartarse comment or anything, just a genuine question. Must have done well to get in amongst the Rovers, Sligo, Derry and Pats players. Also I thought Sean Brennan played up front for Monaghan, he deserves his place there, but seemed just a way to shoehorn one in to pick 3 strikers.

On another note, I hope Trapattoni is the one awarding the Best Irish Overseas Player, and Hoolahan wins :)

Stevens Young player of the year....fair enough
    Cummins 1st div....fairh enough
Zayed player of the year.......seriously this complete waste of a pair of football boots is our player of the year. Easily the worst attitude of a player i have ever seen.

Im not racist but Zayeds a cnut.

Most Rovers supporters would be torn between Sully and Sives for senior player of the year and Shep and McCormack for young player.

Surprised that McCormack and Shepherd don't figure anywhere. Two Rovers players that could easily board the magic airplane imo.

Cummins got 24 league goals and a last second winner to win the league, so no real shock there. I hope to Christ we keep him. Great player. Not sure I have ever seen him not running.

Considering you won the league and best team ever, serious lack of Rovers players in the lists.

Strange tbh Bradley in it too wtf :D

Joke after we were accused of being racists towards Zayed by his sister, the song " we`re not racist, Zayeds just a ****" was coined.

    REFEREE OF THE YEAR NOMINEES
    Neil Doyle (Dublin)
    Alan Kelly (Dublin)
    Paul Tuite (Dublin)

    Fixed :)

As well as Siv-ez has played, I'd have Murray as the better centre-half this season who was covering for an injured Siv-ez at the end of the season and Oman before injury before him too. Only played 19 games I read somewhere.

So it's been decided that Eamon Zayed was the best player in the LOI this season??!!! Seriously, f*ck off, quite frankly!!! Nonsense!! Pure unadulterted bullsh!t.

IRISH OVERSEAS PLAYER OF THE YEAR NOMINEES
    Richard Dunne (Aston Villa)
    Wes Hoolahan (Norwich City)
    Shane Long (West Bromwich Albion)

This makes me LOL. He's good enough to get nominated but still not in the Irish squad!
