Its a bit pricy though for the tour model. 80 sterling minus shipping

I would think it is useful alright but would you be comfortable enough pulling that out in the car part or the first tee box in front of 20 lads?

.....once you nail the drive 300yrds down the middle it shouldn't be a problem:)

Sweet heart of Jesus, I've seen it all now.

Learn how to stretch properly and save your cash. Bet Clarke has some shares in that company.

True, but how often does that happen on the first tee box. About as often as knocking it onto the ladies tee box ild say..

I know if I pulled one of those out in front of the lads I play golf with, I would get the slagging of my life.

Maybe I need to take a closer look at who I socialize with..:)

i can't see what the problem is and certainly wouldn't be too worried about using it ahead of a game, you don't have to use it on the first tee.

Fool, money, easily parted? The problem is, it is a gimmick which is something golfers seem to be prone to falling for. Learn how to stretch properly before you even contemplate buying one of these.

It is no gimmick, have used one and it is very good. It is expensive though but at the end of the day it's all realitive. It is the one preparation most amateurs don't do properly. If you ever go to a pro tournament and watch the best players in the game prepare they all do a strenuous stretching program for at least 8-10 minutes, and these guys are mostly fit athletes to start with these days, all hitting the gym etc a few times a week.

Darren Clarke is a fit athlete?...hmmmm methinks he needs a special stretching pole because he cant bend over past his beer belly..

You can do this all without buying the stretching pole.

    ya
you could just use it in your car either en route to the course or after parking up at the club
might be considered a bit odd taking it into one of the restrooms with you

"I am off to the jacks to stretch out with my extra long golfers pole " might raise a few eyebrows

If you read the part you highlighted in bold, it mentions the word 'mostly'
I specifically included it as I know not all pro's follow a rigid exercise programme. Whilst Dazza may not be the worlds fittest athlete he ain't done that bad in the 21 years as a pro

Now that is a gimmick, I don't have either actually

That's stating the obvious, of course you can, but as I pointed out stretching, actual proper stretching is something very few amateurs do. The guy who got the pole, never did a tap, he got it late summer and now does it for 10-12 mins before playing. His handicap has come down from 8.1 to 6.9 so he's happy !
